Mets Legends and SNY Broadcasters Ron Darling and Keith Hernandez to Make Appearances to Promote SNY Battle of the Broadcasters

Today, Citi announced it will host the first Mr. Met Fan Tour at Citibank Branches across the Tri-State area. The tour will provide Citi customers with a fun-filled experience alongside Mr. Met, New York’s beloved mascot. Select events at Citibank branches will also be hosted by Mets Alumni and SNY Broadcasters Ron Darling or Keith Hernandez and include meet-and-greets, photo opportunities and free promotional giveaways.

The event will promote this year’s Battle of the Broadcasters, a new SNY television special that will pit the SNY broadcast crew against the 710 WOR Mets radio team. As the presenting sponsor of the program, Citi is providing customers with an inside look at the special through these in-branch events with SNY Broadcasters and Mets Alumni Ron Darling and Keith Hernandez.

“We are delighted to welcome Mr. Met to Citibank branches across the Tri-State area,” said Citibank Eastern Region President Kathryn Chase. “For more than 200 years, Citi has been proud to serve New Yorkers and all our local communities, and by teaming up with Ron Darling, Keith Hernandez and Mr. Met – another New York City icon – we will continue to provide a winning experience for customers.”

  1. When I was a kid, Ed Cranepool and Tom Seaver greeted fans at a savings bank on 108th Street, I think it was the Metropolitan Savings Bank. I shook Ed Cranepool's enormous hand.
